The Lake Boga Flying Boat Museum preserves an extraordinary chapter of Australia's Second World War history.

Your donation helps us care for the Catalina, our heritage-listed underground bunker, wartime artefacts, photographs and collections, while ensuring the stories of the servicemen and women connected with Lake Boga continue to be researched, preserved and shared.

Lake Boga Flying Boat Museum now has Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR) status so all donations over $2 are tax deductible.

On the shores of Lake Boga

Situated on the shores of Lake Boga, between Swan Hill and Kerang, the Lake Boga Flying Boat Museum tells the remarkable story of the secret No. 1 Flying Boat Repair Depot and its vital role during the Second World War.

Established by the Lions Club of Lake Boga, the museum preserves and shares the story of the servicemen and women who served at Lake Boga from 1942 to 1947. At the heart of the museum are the historic Catalina flying boat and original underground communications bunker, both heritage listed.

Visitors can explore an extensive collection of wartime artefacts, photographs, uniforms and machinery, together with interactive displays and personal stories that bring the history of the base to life. Museum staff and volunteers are also happy to assist visitors researching family members and connections to the wartime base.
